Why it is so hard to put the kids to bed lately

Bed in Summer

by Robert Louis Stevenson

In winter I get up at night
And dress by yellow candle-light.
In summer, quite the other way,
I have to go to bed by day.

I have to go to bed and see
The birds still hopping on the tree,
Or hear the grown-up people's feet
Still going past me in the street.

And does it not seem hard to you,
When all the sky is clear and blue,
And I should like so much to play,
To have to go to bed by day?

My kids still go to bed at the same time, Alex just wakes up with the sun... so less sleep, gets up really early, yeah we have had some fun days :(

So, true. I'm just thankful for our blackout shades. They don't know the difference once those are closed. I'm so glad the previous owner of my house put them in.

Isn't that the truth! It is especially hard when they are still in school and need to go to bed early!
