Today Was a Hard Day.

Adolescence is a period of rapid changes.  Between the ages of 12 and 17, for example, a parent ages as much as 20 years.  ~Author Unknown

To young people (particularly my own): Your parents are on your side. They really are. They love you through good times and bad, and they will never stop.

I'm sorry today was hard. You are a great mom and I know my time is coming. I will be contacting you and Denalee for teenage raising advice daily I'm sure:)

Gretchen, thank you. I love my kids and they KNOW I love them. At least I am confident of that.

We were asked in RS today (lesson on signs of the second coming) how we would change our lives if we knew Christ was coming next week. One response was, "I would tell my family how much I love them, and I would make amends to everyone I have offended." I truly believe that someday, when the children are older and wiser, they will appreciate you. Just keep hanging on to that thought. The rest of us already appreciate what a great Mom you are. Sorry we're not there to support you. Love you!
